Digital Anchor Core

The Digital Anchor Core, the database engine, is a collection of data elements organized as a set of formally described tables. Common, related data can be accessed or reassembled in various different ways without having to reconstruct the database tables. Essentially, you are able to access information you desire in a single table.

In addition to being relatively easy to create and access, the Digital Anchor database engine has the significant advantage of being easy to extend. After the original database creation, a new data element can be added without requiring modifications to the existing applications. The Digital Anchor database is a set of tables containing data fitted into predefined groups. Each table (or file) contains one or more data categories in columns. Each row contains a unique instance of data for the categories defined by the columns. For example, a typical business customer database would include a table that describes a customer with columns for name, address, phone number, and so forth. Another table would describe sales invoices consisting of related elements, such as product, customer, date, and sales price. A user of the database could then obtain a view of the database and certain information that fits the user's unique needs.

The Digital Anchor database engine, Digital Anchor SQL, XML interface, client/server integration, and the business blueprint create an elegant, powerful database development and deployment platform in a small yet robust footprint.
